Ink
This project was from last semester but I really liked it. I had to design a shoe usingonly ink, and the different techniques we learned in class. My inspiration was Seattle, the heel is actually the space needle upside down.
Scanography
I loved this project. Using a scanner, and some iteams lying around, I had to create an image. I really like the colors of the iteams I chose, and how the images turned out. The words you see on the image are actuially words written on a piece of clear plastic and layed on the scanner
Scratchboard
This is my scratchboard project. If you look below at some older posts, there is an image very similar to this, but colored. Well this is the original. I chose a picture of my brother, because he's my best friend. We had to scratch using different techniques onto a scratch board material. This was a very hard and tedious project.
Photography
These are images for two projects we had to do. One we had to take pictures visulizing a social issue, I chose anorexia. It was actually reallt hard to do this project, cuz you not only had to capture the issue, but explain why you chose it, and why its an issue today (which was quite horrifying to explain). Another reason it was hard, was because i took all these images myself, but I was also the model for the images. The other project we had to do was to put a filter on the image. The second picture is the one with a filter on it.
Bust
This was a great project, we had to make a bust, Our requirments were to have human facial features (eyes, nose, mouth). Other than that we had complete freedom to make our person into whatever we want. I was inspired by traveling in this piece. Not only do i love to travel, but i plan on doing it for the rest of my life. I painted her face to represent the world, and i modge podged inspirational pictures of traveling all over her. I also put gold beads on the side of her head. Alot of work, but totally worth it.
Printing
This is my print project. We had to draw a picture to carve out of a piece of rubber, and from that make multiple prints. I really like the outcome of my prints cuz even if you do the same colors, or paper each time, it will always come ouyt different to the others. I tried to choose colors that were a bit softer, but for the 2nd to last one, I wanted them to pop. The last image is what was left over of the rubber after cutting into it over and over.
